About Us
Gloster Engineering is a privately owned Company which was purchased by Dave Clapson in 1998. Since that time, the Company has enjoyed steady growth, has invested significantly in new technology, plant and equipment and developed a team of people whose mission is to exceed the Customer’s expectations in both quality and delivery performance.
The Company moved from Te Awamutu to Hamilton in 2001 in order to be closer to the Customer base and to provide more effective response times and better service to those Customers, something that was difficult from a more remote location.
The Organisation’s key strengths are:
- Our Staff’s and Management’s Technical competence.
- Our Engineering and Development knowledge.
- Our flexibility in being able to design and manufacture both large production runs, maintain a “jobbing or one off” area and an R & D capability.
- On time deliveries, responsive to Customers needs.
- Formalised Production and Capacity Planning Systems, giving early detection of potential interruptions to supply and sufficient lead time to resolve any issues which arise.
- Proven Quality Management Systems that monitor each step in the design and manufacturing process.
Our Customer base is located throughout New Zealand, with the majority of clients based in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland regions. There is also a small, but growing number of export Customers both in Australia and the UK.

Gloster Engineering’s core purpose is to create the 25th hour for our Customers.

Our functions as a Subcontractor to your business is to create that much needed time for you to focus on the activities that are the mainstay of your business by allowing us to perform the functions we are good at on your behalf.
